Reach Records recording artist Wande, together with YouTube Music released the music video for “Last,” from her new EP The Decision. As a part of the collaboration, Wande hosted a livestream performance on her YouTube Channel Wednesday, December 9th at 7PM, while giving her fans the opportunity to deconstruct the songs with her.
Shot in Atlanta, GA the music video highlights Wande’s interest in fashion with beautiful styling set against rustic landscapes and captivating dance moves choreographed by dancers Briana Baca & Rene Wilson. The music video was shot by MyKael Coleman & Roxanne Crossdale of Art Without Limits.
“Last,” the focus track of the EP, describes the moment of commitment to a lasting relationship with Jesus every believer encounters when deciding to become a Christian. “God, this passion I have, this desire to follow you, I want it to last,” Wande says. “This song unapologetically says ‘This is who I am,’ I am not going to apologize about being unashamed to follow Jesus,” she says.
The sonic landscape of the EP features melodic performances by Wande set to intimate production. When describing her artistic style in the music Wande reveals she has her mind set on creating a new sonic lane in Christian music. This EP is the first step toward that accomplishment.
Despite the global COVID-19 pandemic, Wande has seen her fair share of success this year. The Decision releases on the heels of her prior released single “Woo” being featured in the viral marketing campaign for Apple’s iPhone 12 mini which garnered over 4 Billon views on Tik-Tok. Her song, “Come My Way” was also featured in the cosmetic industry leader ULTA”’s SoundCloud campaign.
With these strong associations on her resume, Wande has a lot in store for the year 2021, and while she’s got a lot going for herself, she wants fans to get used to seeing Women in the spotlight as she proclaims, “I will not be the last.”
