This world is beyond earth…full of planets, galaxies and stars. You see the massive sizes of the universe and the minuscule size of earth in comparison to the solar system. The life around you seems so big but you feel so small. While you are isolated, away from everything, you feel alone. Well, there is good news. Read on.
Perhaps this may not be what you were expecting but you are not alone! There’s more interaction going on than you think! We are connecting, fighting loneliness through this voice, typed words, a language we both understand, something we all call communication, created by the Lord! How exciting! We can hear one another through this voice! You excited yet? You’re not alone! We are talking together! This is just the beginning!
This is an amazing message! So to the self-isolated, the quarantined, those by themselves, rest assured, you are not alone! We are blessed! We have each other through mediums of social media! This is a big deal! We can speak! We are voiced!
That’s more incredible than you think. We have Zoom, Skype, Instagram, Facebook and so much more! It’s crazy. We are all connected through the wireless platform and this connection is astounding! (Not everyone has these luxuries for Internet, so feel lucky!). Count your blessings.
If you are reading this we are connected. Social media connects us. We are somehow intertwined. You are also surrounded by molecules in the air. There is carbon, nitrogen and argon around you. You are not alone.
I was sitting here thinking, what should I write about? What do people need to hear? What do people need to be reminded of? Then this topic hit me, so I started to write…people, you are not alone!
When it comes to Christ there is a deep power within Him. The power to be with us wherever we go. We are with Christ right now, Christ followers! Isn’t that something to be joyful about!
“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (ESV)
You know what’s even more joyful? We don’t need a phone we plug in the wall to charge, a dial up connection, or even a wireless connection to connect with Him! He is around us and He wants to speak to us! He is waiting! Will you call out His holy name?
How do we speak to God? Do we have to speak with mouths and tongues? We can communicate with Him through verbal sounds or we can communicate through our thoughts and actions! Now isn’t that something incredible! Look at all this communication available, don’t overlook that!
The best way to speak to our Lord is through prayer. We can kneel at our bedside just before we rest or talk to Him at the table right before our meal, or soon as we wake up we can speak to Him! Our God is a 24/7 God! He is waiting for us to call out His holy name! Isn’t that amazing! So why don’t we do it? Call out His name!
“Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.” – Colossians 4:2 (ESV)
Don’t be lonely! Don’t be afraid! Just open up your heart to the Lord and He will be with you wherever you go! You see that door in your room? God created the hands of the person that made that door for you! You see a window? God created the person that had the talent to make that! You see that floor? Yep, God in some way helped create that too!
God is a creator! He is a maker of things! God is a fixer! He is a carer of things! God is a solver! He resolves the problems people have! God is a leader, yes, He knows EXACTLY what to do!
Are you worried about this earth? Do not be afraid! The Lord has prepared a Heaven so beautiful we cannot even imagine. God will take care of you. We just must have faith, trust, not be afraid of the things other than our God and study His works so He can lead the way.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:6-7 (ESV)
You’re not alone! How amazing is that? We resolved a worry some people had as we get to be reminded that God is with us!
Remember that! It’s easy to feel alone now. Many people are in their houses in the same situation. Rest assured this isn’t a situation where you are as alone as you think! Wake up to the Lord! He’s waiting by the phone for your calls to Him by prayer! Will you dial? The Lord is waiting so why wouldn’t you? You’re not alone! There’s life happening as we speak! Things are going on! Birds chip! Deers walk! Squirrels search! Don’t be afraid!
Remember the Lord takes care of these animals. The bird does not have to worry so much about its food, it still manages to fly, the Lord still provides for the birds and they still exist! If the Lord is a creator, a fixer, a problem solver and a carer, He will look out for you. We must trust Him. So next time you feel alone remember all this or reread this if you need to. Open up your Bible when you get the chance. The Lord wants to speak with you!
“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” – Mark 11:24 (ESV)
You ARE NOT alone. Let’s pray.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Please help those fighting loneliness in the world right now. Please remind them there is life outside the closed confines of their walls. Remind people of the carbon, the nitrogen, the argon around them. Remind people there is birds chirping, deers walking and squirrels searching as You created them. Remind them of the greatness of Your power and how they don’t need dial up connection, WiFi, or even cell data to reach You. You are an all powerful God. Help them feel loved. Remind them God You always provide. Thanks for being with us here today, dear Lord.
